Civic Influencers Honored with Gold in Three Categories at the 4th Annual Anthem Awards

Lewes, Del.—November 19, 2024 — Civic Influencers is honored to announce its recognition as a Gold Winner in three prestigious categories at the 4th Annual Anthem Awards: Human & Civil Rights Campaign - Non-Profit Awareness, Human & Civil Rights Local Awareness Campaign, and Human & Civil Rights Innovation Product, Innovation, or Service. These awards celebrate the groundbreaking impact of Civic Influencers' Student Voting Heat Maps: Young People Can Swing Elections initiative.

“We are thrilled at this triple gold recognition,” said Maxim Thorne, CEO of Civic Influencers. “It is deserved for sure, and much needed to boost the spirits of the entire ecosystem. It shows young voters what’s possible when you reimagine solutions, find joy, and stay the course. We are not going back.”

The Anthem Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, honor impactful, purpose-driven work. This year’s competition attracted more than 2,300 entries from 34 countries, showcasing the innovative spirit and dedication of organizations worldwide. Esteemed judges included prominent leaders such as C.D. Glin, President, PepsiCo Foundation, Trovon Williams, Sr. Vice President of Marketing & Communications, NAACP, Brett Peters, Global Lead, TikTok for Good, TikTok, and many others.

The Student Voting Heat Map addresses critical barriers to young voter participation, such as generational gerrymandering, by leveraging data, interactive tools, and state-specific report cards. The initiative trains students to use these tools for peer-to-peer organizing, significantly boosting voter engagement at community colleges, POC-serving institutions, and trade schools. This innovative approach not only highlights disparities in voting access but also equips young people to navigate political barriers and strengthen civic participation.

“Our Student Voting Heat Maps are a testament to the power of data-driven solutions in empowering the next generation of voters,” said Liz Ricci, Board Chair of Civic Influencers, “This recognition underscores the importance of equipping young people with the tools and knowledge to make their voices heard and shape the future of our democracy.”
